The gift of literacy and a
book to call their own.

Our Books for Kids program helps TEPF further enhance our impact on literacy levels in the community by donating books to select schools across Alberta. This empowers young learners by giving them the essential tools they need to uplift their literacy skills and unlock the boundless joy of reading.

One in four households in Canada does not own any books. By providing books to these learners, we strive to create a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed through the power of literacy.

At TEPF, we refuse to stand idly by in the face of this pressing need in our community. In 2021, we proudly launched the transformative program, Books for Kids.

We identify deserving schools based on socioeconomic status, number of English language learners, and Indigenous populations.

In partnership with an incredible ensemble of sponsors—including the Calgary Flames Foundation, The Jules Foundation, North West Redwater Partnership Sturgeon Refinery, Kinsmen Club of Calgary, Rotary Club of Calgary East, Rotary Club of Calgary North, and Enterprise Holdings—we bring the joy of reading into the hands of vulnerable students in schools across Alberta. And it's theirs to keep, forever.

This dynamic program stands as a testament to the transformative power of community collaboration and the unwavering belief that every child deserves the gift of literacy. Join us in empowering young minds and turning the page to a brighter future. The journey begins here.
