Barb brings a variety of advanced skills in community development through her strong experience in strategic leadership roles in both the charitable and corporate sectors. She has over 30 years in the Oil and Gas industry in various capacities including accounting and 13 years as Director of community investment at ConocoPhillips.

In 2013, she was honored with The Hazel Gillespie Community Investment Leadership Award, a provincial award that recognizes yearly a Community Investment professional for outstanding commitment to the community through leadership, strategic insight and the mentorship of others. Barb has a long history with TEPF for over eight years, first as a funder, then as a volunteer and on the board as well as the board chair for over two years. She stepped off the board in 2016, but remained extremely committed to them through funding and providing expertise to the Legends for Learners golf tournament fundraiser. She joined TEPF’s leadership team in 2017 and became President/CEO in 2018.

Barb holds an Advanced Community Involvement and Corporate Citizenship and volunteer management certification from the Boston College Centre for Corporate Citizenship.  She also sat on the Boston College round table for nine years giving her exceptional insight into trends in North American Corporate Citizenship.  Barb also currently sits on a variety of committees and advisory boards.
